North Country Moose Festival

Celebrate all things Moose at the 27th North Country Moose Festival, an annual tradition since 1991! Held  the weekend before Labor Day, this year’s festivities on August 24 & 25 include a moose calling contest, live music, artisan & craft vendors, as well as family favorites like horse & wagon rides, a dog show, and maple syrup tasting contest – not to mention the classic car show!

This event is the North Country Chamber of Commerce’s premier fundraising event, drawing thousands each year. It provides a venue for residents, second homeowners and tourists alike to enjoy old-time family fun as well as showcase the many diverse talents and services that are located right here in the North Country.

Voted #1 Festival in NH in 2015.

Moose Festival Event at The Tillotson: Merlot and Monet

There is a lot happening in Colebrook during the popular Moose Festival. The Tillotson Center will offer tours of the facility from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, August 24, and the concession stand will be open with popcorn, ice cream and lemonade available for purchase.

Merlot to Monet: From 4-6 p.m., the Connecticut River Artisans Group will sponsor an art class with instructor Judi Calhoun. Enjoy creating a painting you can take home. Admission is $15, supplies will be provided. Space is limited, please call 603-237-8576 or email [email protected] to register.

Tanglewood Marionettes Present An Arabian Adventure

Founded in 1993, the Tanglewood Marionettes perform classic
tales by skilled puppeteers Peter Schaefer and Anne Schaefer. Join us for “An Arabian Adventure.” All seats $4. Sponsored by the Tillotson North Country Foundation.

Studio Two, Beatles Tribute Band

Mohawk Falls Presents: Nathan McEuen & Natalie Gelman Acoustic Concert

Enjoy an awesome summer concert in our gorgeous, waterside post and beam pavilion while sipping a cocktail, beer or glass of wine! Sounds good doesn’t it? Get your tickets today for this great show by two amazing musicians! Nathan McEuen played at Mohawk Falls last fall with David Starr and Bobby Mason. Now he’s bringing his friend Natalie Gelman to delight the crowd.

This talented duo has opened for Bon Jovi and have a track record of success. Natalie is an alternative folk-pop singer-songwriter from New York City and is now based in California. Nathan is a singer-songwriter, acoustic guitar/banjo player, also based out of California. They are coming all the way across the country to perform for you in the beautiful North Country of Colebrook! Mohawk Falls Triathlon and Duathlon

Join us for a family-friendly swim, bike, run event at Mohawk Falls.

Mohawk Falls is a picturesque 4o acre private estate where competitors will enjoy running and biking throughout varied terrain including lawns, woodland trails and dirt roads, as well as swimming in the property’s crystal clear pond.  The post-race reception will take place in the post and beam pavilion on the property.  We welcome families to come enjoy this safe, fun 4th of July weekend event!

An optional walk-thru is available at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 6, for course familiarization.
