Summertime on the Common means Monday evening band concerts, antique car drive-ins and Sunday morning pancake breakfasts. The Common is flooded in winter to provide a skating rink. Whitefield is home to the Mountain View Grand Resort, one of New Hampshire’s famous Grand Hotels. The Weathervane Theatre offers a rotating repertory of shows each summer, continuing a summer theatre tradition begun in 1934. Jefferson boasts panoramic views of the Presidential Range of the White Mountains, miles of hiking, biking and snowmobile trails, dog sledding adventures, and the oldest 18-hole golf course in the state.
